"Hurry Up and Make It Day" did not come by chance. Sheila spent many sleepless nights listening to the sounds and witnessing her mother being brutally beaten. Reflecting on her childhood, she wrote a poem Hold On Tight expressing her emotional turmoil experienced as a child witnessing Domestic violence. That poem inspired her to write Hurry Up and Make It Day. Well into Sheila's teenaged years she was victim to the emotional turmoil that manifested into a rage that caused her to do the unthinkable!
